Alan Girelli earned his Ph.D. in Composition and Rhetoric from UMass Amherst. His research area is synchronous networked communications. He began teaching collaboration on LANS at Emerson College in 1986, pioneered use of ASPECTS at Brandeis University in 1991, and Netmeeting, Timbuktu, and CUSeeMe at UMass Boston in 1997, before the advent of learning management systems and online education.
Matthew S. Harris
Matthew Harris is the Co-Founder and Technology Lead at Patheer. He started Patheer.Com while attending Boston University for his Master’s degree in Information Systems. The idea behind Patheer is to analyze student outcomes and student paths to show students what others did to get into a specific career. Matthew is in charge of the technology and architecture for the OpenEduData project initiative.
Co-Founder, Business Strategy & Partnerships
Akash Savdharia is the Co-Founder and Business Strategy lead at Patheer. He comes from a strategy consulting background with extensive knowledge in business development and market research. He studied at the University of Arizona where he was a triple major in Business, Information Systems, and Operations Management. Akash is the Project Manager for the OpenEduData Initiative.
Dennis Harris is the Co-Founder and Operations lead at Patheer. His background focuses on multiple disciplines ranging from finance and accounting to application development and data science. He has his Master in Accounting from Indiana University, Bachelors in Finance from Notre Dame, and is a registered CPA. Dennis is in charge of technology operations and R&D for the OpenEduData Initiative.
Lead Software Engineer
Kevin Harris serves as the Lead Software Engineer for the ODAI project. He has a strong background in statistical data collection, data analysis, data integration and data reporting. He has held positions as a data analyst, marketing analyst and business development analyst. He holds degree in Economics from St. Olaf College where he studied Finance, concentration on Statistical Analysis. Kevin applies principles of business intelligence to his current work on the ODAI learning analytics initiative.
